This is because many Filipino women also think that foreign men make better husbands and fathers than Filipino men. It's not just about Western men being financially stable, although it helps shape the perception. In the Philippines, it is quite common for the men to have mistresses aside from their wives or even have second families complete with children.

No woman ever wants to be cheated on by their men and so that's why Filipino women seek out foreigners because they think foreign men are less likely to cheat on them.

2. The very jealous and (sometimes) dramatic type

Filipino women are generally the jealous type. They will not like you being friendly with other Filipino women when you're already in a relationship (even if the other women are really just friends). They are also the type of women who will check your phone messages just to know who you've been talking too.

If this does not sit well with you, you should make it clear from the start that you value your own privacy. Otherwise, if you set your boundaries later in the relationship, your Filipina girlfriend might think you have something to hide.

If you're still finding women at Internet dating sites, make sure you do NOT tell a woman that you're talking to four other women. While most Filipino women are aware that you're doing a contact-and-numbers love game on the Internet, they don't like men who talk about other women with them. This extreme jealousy is probably the most peculiar of Filipino women characteristics.

3. NOT the confrontational type

Filipino women are not the confrontational type and generally do not speak their minds if they feel that doing so will get them into a shouting match. They prefer to give their husbands or boyfriends the cold treatment if there's something they're not happy about. If it's not the cold treatment, sometimes it's the walkout that works for them.

Take note of this when you have a Filipina girlfriend. If she's obviously in a bad mood but still insists that she's okay, do NOT believe her for a second. She's not okay, but she's just not telling you. You could coax her into telling you what's wrong then and there, but it's really better if you just wait a few minutes before you gently probe her.
