Do Filipino women like black men?

Well, this is a question that I’ve discovered recently while doing the rounds at Yahoo answers. Well, the short answer is that it all depends on the woman. I personally am into Asian men, but when I was based in Cebu, I did see Filipino-Black couples.

In college, I saw one of my professors (a Filipino woman) with her black African husband (they have four children together). Also, I saw a cute Filipino-Black couple at my nephew’s graduation from elementary school in 2010. Here in South Korea, particularly in Itaewon, I’ve seen Filipino Women-black men pairs on their first dates together.

Although I haven’t seen as many Filipino-Black couples as Filipino-Caucasian couples, it’s fair to say that most Filipino women don’t care about the color of the skin, as long as the man is kind to them and treats them like a real lady.

I think Filipino women have proven to the world that they’re not at all particular about a man’s looks and age. We’ve seen May-December affairs where the man is 60 years old and the Filipino woman is I her 20’s. And we’ve also seen chubby men with their petite Filipino ladies.

(Actually, Filipino women believe that older men are better at raising and supporting a family than younger men.)

I think the Filipino woman’s very open attitude towards men can be attributed to the fact that in Philippine culture, personality is everything. Generally, it’s more important for us to get along well with people (because we can’t take our money with us to our graves). And yes, we prefer people with sunny dispositions over people who look too serious.

So my advice is this: don’t worry too much about your looks, or even ask if Filipino women like black men because, for us, it’s a non-question. Instead, try working on being happy from the inside out, and work on your sense of humor too, because Filipino women love to laugh.
